Welcome Back Shamrocks!
My hope is that everyone has enjoyed their summer and was able to accomplish all that was on your lists. As you would expect, many members of our executive have been trying to balance their summer with family and friends while planning the upcoming season. As previously mentioned, we are very excited with the introduction of our new logo’s and although there will be a transition period, we are attempting to fast track it as much as possible.
With this in mind, we’ve planned multiple events which includes a collaboration with New Orlean’s Pizza on September 9th along with our largest fundraiser to date, “Hockey Day in Hespeler” which takes place on September 19th in the adjacent parking lot of Hespeler Arena. On this day, we are combining our fundraising efforts with the Hespeler Neighbourhood Village Association and their 6th Annual Harvestfest.
Having said this, we need your help not only to participate in the events (Ford Drive, BBQ, Eco-Waste Drop-off and the 3 on 3 Ball Hockey Tourney) but as volunteers! We need parents/players/family members with assisting in all of the events, even if it’s just for an hour or two on this day. I’m asking our entire membership from Chip to Midget in both of our travel program and our house league/local league program to get involved.
As a member of HMHA, you are a Shamrock and Shamrocks have always prided themselves what we accomplish on and off the ice. Please do not dismiss this call for assistance thinking that someone else will do it…we need you to make this event a success…this has been planned for your Shamrock Hockey players!
