A tale of two games!!
So we head into Stoney Creek on Thursday night, kids are pumped and ready to go, tied it up, went ahead and then took part of the game off and we paid for it.
I asked our Rocks to think about that loss all day at school Friday (inbetween school work ofcourse) and take that energy and frustration into Friday nights game vs the 7-1 Erini-Hillsborough Devils. We got down 2-0 and asnwered back quickly with a great one-timer goal and then tying it up in the 3rd. We then took the lead by a goal and had to kill off a penalty in the dying minutes and had to hang on with them pulling their goalie and having a 6 on 4 advantage. We held tough for the victory improving our record to 6-3-2. Also learned a lesson about percervering.
Next up is the first place undefeated Orangeville Flyers. We have two practices before that and the coaching staff will do our best to have the rocks ready to battle. Nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself and I believe in this group!!
