Andy Passero Memorial Semi Finalists
The Major Atom A Shamrocks made it to the semi finals of the Andy Passero Memorial Tournament in Fort Erie, ON over the Nov 29 to Dec 1 weekend.
After opening the tournament with a 2-2 tie early Friday morning against Garden City, the 'Rocks followed up early Saturday with a dominating performance against Erie, PA winning 11-0. Later that same day, a great team effort resulted in a 2-0 victory over a good Toronto Royals team. The Shamrocks finished the round robin portion of the tournament in second place.
On Sunday, the team battled hard against a very good Fort Erie team. The game was tied at 2 early in the third period before the Shamrocks eventually suffered their only loss of the tournament 5-2. It was a very closely played game that could have gone either way.
Awesome effort Shamrocks!!! You all played your hearts out and should be proud of yourselves.
