Off to a Winning Start
Our Shamrocks started off The Tri-County playoffs on a winning note with a 1-0 win over the Milton Winterhawks. In an edge of our seat game the Rocks battled hard for the puck, looked for the passes, and were rewarded with the two points.
Fun highlights of the game include Ben R. almost adding to his short handed goal count, awesome pushes into the Milton zone, and Logan M. with the shut out! The lone goal of the game was a great example how most goals are a team effort. From Logan making a save, the defense claiming the rebound and clearing the puck out of the zone to Carter T., who the passed it to Ben R., who then fed the puck to a waiting Brody H. in front of the net to finish off the play. From end to end all players had a part in making the goal happen and that is what will continue to win us games.
While our playoff record is now 4-3-2 the Hespeler Shamrocks are still the underdogs when taking into account our regular season. But the Shamrock team of now is not the same team from the regular season and continues to improve with each game. We have some tough games ahead which the Shamrocks top game will be needed but their coaches and fans know its in them to win!
