U13 LL1 Silver In Welland
This past weekend the U13 LL1 Shamrocks went to Welland and came back with a Silver Medal and some great team memories.
They opened the tournament with a hard fought loss to the Port Stanley Sailors. They regrouped after a great day at the hotel and came back Saturday with two straight must wins against two good Mount Brydges teams. This created a rematch in the Semis that they all wanted as they felt they could have beat Port Stanley. The Semis ended up being over quickly with a 3-0 lead after the first on the way to a 5-1 win. They made it to the finals to play the 5-0 Millbrook team and they ended up being too much for us.
The coaches are very proud of the way this team came together over the weekend and they way they held their heads high after the final. We are all looking forward to what we can do in the playoffs!
