The Shamrocks started November off by participating in their first tournament of the season down in Niagara and were blessed with amazing weather.
The Shamrocks started off on the right foot by getting a nice 5-2 win in their first game on Friday morning. Terrence Phil had a hat trick and was awarded Player of the Game for the 2nd time this season.
The team put up a good fight but came up short against the eventual silver medalists, Burlington Eagles Gold. Austin Wills showed great poise and teamwork and was awarded the Championship belt as Player of the Game.
In the third game of the tournament, the Shamrocks ran into the eventual champion Haldimand River Kings and came up short but worked hard. Ryan Kitzman walked out of the dressing room with a huge smile and the Champion belt for being recognized as Player of the Game.
Congratulations to Terrence, Austin and Ryan and all the players who competed valiantly in the first tournament of the season.
I trust you all had fun, I know I did and am looking forward to our next opportunity to compete in the London Bandits Dan Pulham tournament in early December.
