Shamrock’s Soar in Victory over Caledon
Hespeler’s winning streak was extended to 3 games as the Minor atom Shamrocks swooped into Caledon and in convincing fashion beat the Hawks 6-2.
Fresh off a good week of practice and their recent tournament experience, the boys took it to Caledon right from the opening face-off. While the first period ended scoreless, the “Rocks” spent much of the first period in the Caledon end creating numerous scoring chances.
They finally broke the seal on a solid Caledon goaltender early in the second period. Caledon responded with one of their own but with less than a minute to play Hespeler took the lead for good. The third period saw the flood gates open as the relentless Shamrock pressure finally took its toll, burying four more in the Hawk net. Great effort boys! Let’s keep the streak alive!
