Rocks Rebound After First Playdown Loss
The Major Atom A Shamrocks rebounded exceptionally well from their first playdown defeat with two victories over New Hamburg and Georgetown.

The wins came on the heels of a tough defeat to Owen Sound in a game that the Shamrocks dominated but unfortunately did not capitalize on their numerous chances. The end result was a tough 2-1 loss and a match-up the following night against the aforementioned New Hamburg Huskies.

In a show of true character however, the Rocks arguably played their finest game all year over-powering the Huskies with a convincing 3-0 victory.
The majority of the play was in the New Hamburg zone as Hespeler continually displayed their superior speed and puck-moving skills to control the pace.

The Rocks continued to build on their playdown momentum on Saturday against Georgetown posting a thrilling 5-4 victory.
In a game that the Shamrocks seemed to have well in control leading 5-1, the Raiders mounted a spirited late comeback to put the Hespeler fans on the edge of their seat.
Fortunately the boys held on for victory and remain in a strong position to advance to the OMHAs if they continue their hard work.

Exceptional efforts were put forth by Daniel "D" Turco in the Owen Sound game, and Jake "JV" Vautour in the New Hamburg game.
As two of the leaders on the team, the boys definitely stepped up their efforts and showed their teammates what it takes to be successful in the playoffs.

Great job D and JV!!!

An all-around team effort was given in the Georgetown game and it is that sort of combined teamwork that will be the key to success moving forward.

Great job to all of you!!!

The Rocks next game is in Dundas on Tuesday Jan 29th at 615pm. Go Rocks!!!
