2022 HMHA Scholarship Award applications are now being accepted.
The HMHA scholarship is awarded to those HMHA athletes that have not only excelled in their minor hockey career but have also demonstrated leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork and volunteerism within the organization.
The Application Deadline is March 27th and is open to HMHA athletes born in 2004.HMHA Schollarship Award
Purpose:
The purpose of the scholarship fund is to award those Hespeler Minor Hockey athletes that have not only excelled in their minor hockey career but have also demonstrated leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork, and volunteerism within the organization.
Award Components:
There will be two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships awarded for the 2022 year. This scholarship amount will be sent directly to the recipient’s post-secondary institution on their behalf.
Award Impact:
This award will solidify the values that Hespeler Minor Hockey instills in its young athletes and throughout the community. The recipient will be an upstanding citizen of the community and will be able to benefit from this award to further their skills to do so.
Award Criteria:
1. Applicant must have a birth year of 2004.
2. Applicant must be attending a post-secondary institution in the fall of 2022.
3. Applicant must have been a member of Hespeler Minor Hockey for a minimum of five (5) years whether in travel or houseleague/local league (not necessarily consecutive) and be currently registered with Hespeler Minor Hockey Association.
4. If the recipient of the award does not fulfill their obligation to attend a post-secondary institution in the fall of 2022, the award will be held over and awarded to anotherrecipient in 2023 in addition to the 2023 awarded scholarship(s).
