U12A Shamrocks win Silver
The U12A Shamrocks won Silver at the Ajax Pickering Spring Thaw tournament this past weekend. After going undefeated in the round robin with 3 wins and a tie, they were off to the semi final against their arch rivals, the Caledon Hawks.
In an exciting semi-final that saw the Shamrocks give up 3 quick goals to fall behind midway through the second period only to turn it on and come away with an 8-4victory to clinch a spot in the finals for the third straight time. In the championship game, the Shamrocks faced off against the double A Quinte West Golden Hawks, whom they tied 2-2 earlier in the tournament. The Shamrocks played very well as a team and battled to the very last second but came up just short in a super close 2-1 loss. The boys proudly left the arena wearing Silver medals. What a great way to end the season.
