#NVW2023 #Weaving Us Together April 16-22, 2023
Hespeler Minor Hockey Association wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication by each and every one of its volunteers.
The National Volunteer Week theme for 2023 is ‘volunteering weaves us together’. It displays the importance of volunteering with HMHA and its impact to strengthen our Shamrock community. A lot of knowledge, commitment and energy goes into practice plans, line ups and team events that are the fabric of a great hockey season.
Volunteering with the Shamrocks gives you the opportunity to have connections and make the lives of our youth more meaningful. Getting involved either as a board member, coach, team manager, parent rep, bingo rep or more; allows for the development of friendships, trust and lasting relationships. When we interlace all these connections, we contribute towards the goal of meaningful sport in Hespeler.
The NVW states “like each individual thread makes weaving stronger, each volunteer’s experience, perspective, and abilities add to our collective resilience.” Woven together from team to team to team, your time reinforces the organizations and players ability to grow, thrive and creates changes.
Stay tuned all week for stories of why some of our members spend their time at the rink!
On behalf of everyone at HMHA thank you to all our Shamrock Volunteers.
