CONGRATS!!!
This past weekend, our U13 LL Team 1 participated in the Don Collison U13LL Tournament in Gravenhurst. The tournament provided a challenge before it even began as the team battled a snow storm and highway closures to make it on time. The weekend began with the Shamrocks squeaking out a 3-2 win against Almaguin, followed by 2 strong victories against Parry Sound & Coldwater 6-1 and 6-0 respectively. Starting out 3-0, led to a match up of the two remaining undefeated teams in the tournament on Sunday, with the winner going to the Finals. The boys came out on fire, and cruised to a 7-1 win against Tavistock. Finishing the tournament off in style, the Shamrocks took the championship with a 5-2 complete game against the Beeton Stingers and grabbed the Gold!
Congratulations boys! We came together as a Team, battled for one another, and earned this victory through hard work and ‘heads up hockey’. It was a proud moment for all involved!
