October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and our Hespeler U12A team has been showing their heart both on and off the ice. The players added a splash of pink to their gear this weekend to honour those affected by breast cancer—and to remind everyone that hockey can make a difference beyond the scoreboard.
What made this even more special was the team’s initiative. Many of the players wrote the names or initials of loved ones and relatives who have faced breast cancer right on their sticks—something they decided to do completely on their own. The team also made a donation to breast cancer research on behalf of all the players and families, turning their awareness into meaningful action.

The U12A squad is away at a tournament this weekend and is off to the final, proudly representing Hespeler with skill, teamwork, and compassion. Help us celebrate a team that’s showing true spirit in every sense of the word.
