New OMHA Bursary Opportunity
Here at Hespeler Minor Hockey, we know our players put in the hard work — in the arena and in the classroom. That’s why we’re excited to share a great opportunity for graduating players who have shown excellence in hockey, academics, and community involvement!

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) has just announced the return of the 2026 OMHA Bursary Program presented by Dairy Farmers of Ontario — and it’s bigger than ever! This program celebrates the student-athletes among us who have truly balanced dedication to the game with success in school and meaningful contributions to their communities.

🏆 What’s being offered?

- Six $5,000 bursaries awarded to deserving players
- Two additional Wally Scott bursaries of $1,250

These awards are designed to support post-secondary education as our players continue their journey beyond minor hockey.

📍 Who is eligible?
To apply, players must:

- Be an active player registered with the OMHA (minimum five years), or current OWHA player with at least three years in OMHA
- Be heading to a post-secondary institution for the 2026–27 school year
- Demonstrate strong academic achievement
- Show a commitment to community involvement and leadership
- Include supporting documents like transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement

Applicants must submit their bursary forms by 8 p.m. on February 15, 2026.
