Bantam AE Team Wins Tri-County Championship while the Tyke, Novice and PeeWee AE Teams Battle On!
Submitted By tonyh on Sunday, March 23, 2014
It was a thrilling two days for the hundreds of fans that packed Hespeler Arena this weekend to cheer on their home town teams.

The droves of Shamrock fans weren't disappointed this weekend as they watched the PeeWee AE, Tyke, Novice and Bantam AE teams play for the Tri-County championships.

The Tyke team won handily today to take the lead in their series against Dundas, while the Novice team tied Guelph in a thrilling 1-1 game that helped them live to play another day.

Hespeler Arena was also kind to the PeeWee AE team who defeated Woolwich during their Saturday night thriller that allowed Hespeler to continue their quest for glory after losing their first two games against the Wildcats.

The weekend wasn’t kind to our Atom teams as the Minor Atom team lost at home on Saturday night and the Atom AE team lost on the road in Woolwich. Congratulations to both teams who end their seasons as Tri-County Finalists!

The best news of the day was delivered by the Bantam AE team who, after losing the first game of the series 4-0, dominated the Woolwich Wildcats in 3 straight games to take the Tri-County Championship, in convincing fashion, in front of a packed home town crowd that swelled with pride.

The goaltending of Bryce Hanna and Brock Ryan was superb in this series and Assistant Captain, Noah Webber, was a warhorse on defence, being chosen by the team as the player of the series.

Every player on this team made a huge contribution. Our champions are:
