Novice A Shamrocks Advance to OHMA Finals!
Submitted By tonyh on Thursday, March 3, 2016
Hespeler won both games last weekend to clinch their semi-final series against New Hamburg.

The Novice A pre-game cheer ends with the team roaring “What are we gonna do?????.......ROCK YOU!” Although most of these 8 year olds don’t realize this line is borrowed from an 80’s rock song, they definitely understand the message.  This past weekend, they made good on their promise.  With the series tied at one, Hespeler won both games to clinch their semi-final series against New Hamburg.

After weathering a strong start from New Hamburg on Saturday, the Rocks got rolling and finished with a huge 7-4 road win.  Back home on Sunday, and energized from a fantastic Hespeler crowd, the Shamrocks finished the job with a convincing 5-1 victory.  Great goaltending, rock-solid defense and a tenacious offense were the hallmarks of this team’s success all year and it was the right formula to defeat a very strong New Hamburg team.

Congratulations to the Novice A Shamrocks for advancing to the OHMA Central A final.  Their opponent in the final round will be the Orillia Terriers.  Game times are to be announced soon so please watch for the announcement and add the home dates to your calendar.  We would like to fill the building with Hespeler supporters to cheer the Novice A’s on.
