Hespeler Minor Hockey Evaluations 2025-2026

Evaluations are quickly approaching and we are excited to welcome returning and new players for the upcoming season. 

EVALUATION SCHEDULE

Evaluations for U7 MD are set to take place in September. The schedule is as follows:

Please note: You are required to be registered for BOTH hockey in the IP program AND evaluations before attending the first evaluation. Evaluation fees must be paid in full before attending the first evaluation.

EVALUATION QUESTIONS

Can your child try out for teams at any local Minor Hockey Association?

Beginning in the 2025–2026 season, Ontario Hockey Federation - including OMHA - Minor Hockey Players in the U10 age group and above will have the opportunity to participate with the Association of their choice regardless of Category(AAA, AA, A, BB, B etc.).

Effective the 2025-26 season, U9 & below MD players resident to the OMHA centres, like Hespeler, wishing to participate in U9 and below MD programming are eligible to attend evaluations and be rostered with any MD team within the OMHA.

The U7MD team is only open to players in Hespeler's residential boundary. 

Do I require a Permission to Skate form?

There are no permission to skate forms required within Minor Hockey. 

Do players need to register in advance for evaluations/tryouts?

Yes - all players must be registered and paid for player U7 to U7 MD evaluations and U10 to U18 rep tryouts in order to attend and be offered a spot on a team. 

What does it mean to be guaranteed the first two tryouts?

As long as you are registered before the first tryout of your age group begins, you are guaranteed the first two tryouts offered by HMHA before a coach is permitted to release you.
