The lone Monday night game was a fast pace and exciting game held between the Green and Black teams.

At 9:17 of the first Black scored the opener on a goal by Kyle McBride assists by Nick Vokey and Kyle Darnel. Black went ahead 2-0 at 5:35 of the 1st with a goal by Kyle Darnell assists by Colin Nurnberg and Nick Vokey.

At the end of the 1st with Black leading 2-0 but the shot count was 15-11 in favor of Green.

The second period continued to be fast pace with Green sending shot after shot in an attempt to score, but it was Black who capitalized yet again at 7:39 on Kyle McBride’s second goal of the evening assists by John Gould and Colin Darnell.

Then at 4:51 of the second, Green finally got on the board with a goal by Nick Vervaeke assist Matt Bittner and Nathan Vervaeke to set the stage for a Green come back.

At the end of two it was 3-1 in favor of Black but the shot count was 26-16 in favor of Green.

Perhaps it was something Coach Silver said but the 3rd period saw Green explode when they added to their goal count at 13:12 scored by Tyler Carroll assists by Patrick Carroll and Brandon Loehle, then just 12 seconds later it was a tie game 3-3 when Brandon Loehle scored assisted by Sean Holmes and Cody Kells. 

The momentum continued for Green when Nick Vervaeke scored his second of the match at 11:51 assisted by Matt Bittner and Nathan Vervaeke to put Green up 4-1.

Black soon responded leveling the score at 4 all, on a goal from Kyle McBride, completing a hat-trick for Kyle, assists by Colin Darnell and Bryce Lahey.

Then play resumed and just when it looked like this one would end in a tie, Green goes ahead for good scoring with 1:50 remaining in the game, on a hard angle shot that ripped between Goalie Christian Cyr and the post scored by Nick Vervaeke, assists by Matt Bittner and Cody Kells. 

Green was not done yet as they popped in another just 25 seconds later to go ahead 6-4 on a goal by Tyler Carroll, assists by Nathan Vervaeke and Cody Kells.

The final goal of the game made it 7-4 for Green which came in with 44 seconds remaining, on his 4th goal of the evening, Nick Vervaeke assists by Tyler Carroll and Cody Kells.

Black made a valiant effort to get back into the one that got away as they pretty much evened the shot count which ended 33-32 in favor of Green but unfortunately for Black, this was to be Greens night to cherish.
