Tykes Rock the Lock!!
On a cold blustery January morning the Hespeler Tyke Shamrocks rumbled into Peterborough, Ontario like a herd of stampeding Belgian Clydesdales!! The class of their division they managed to sweep all four games outscoring opponents 25-5 including a 7-0 dominating performance in the tournament final.
Fighting through tough conditions in this tournament, from less than ideal ice to near white out conditions, the boys never allowed these little schticky details to fester into a big schticky problem and had the crowd exclaiming 'Shamrocks??? Sham-WOW!!'
Our two goalies, Logan Ready & Mitchell Trainor split duties all weekend and were a veritable iron-curtain; allowing our skaters to focus on what they do best, fill the opponents net!! A fantastic effort was put forth by all players, they represented themselves and Hespeler exceptionally well and we are all very proud.
We'd also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Super 8 Peterborough for going above and beyond to ensure our boys and families had the perfect stay. Their hospitality and willingness to go out of their way to satisfy our needs will no soon be forgotten.
