This week, our U9MD team took their teamwork and energy off the ice for their first dryland training session! The players gave it their all through a fun mix of relays, races, and skill-based challenges that had everyone smiling (and sweating a little, too).
Dryland sessions are an important part of player development, helping our young athletes build strength, speed, and coordination, all while learning to work together. The coaches kept things upbeat and engaging, with plenty of team cheering and a few friendly competitions along the way.
In addition to the physical fun, the players also began learning about positional hockey as they prepare to make the exciting transition to full-ice games. Understanding where to be and how to move on the ice as a team is a big step in their hockey journey, and the kids showed great focus and enthusiasm as they started to put the pieces together.
It was a great start to what’s sure to be an exciting season of growth, learning, and teamwork, both on and off the ice. Way to go, U9MD! 🏒💪
