Player of the Game: January 4th
On Sunday January 4th our Shamrocks played their last ever game of half-ice hockey when they hosted the New Hamburg Huskies.
This game was one of the most complete games we have ever seen our Shamrocks play. They had shifts were every player on the ice made a tape-to-tape pass to their teammate before an attempt on goal was made. It was apparent that we have been working on a full-team strategy all season and it was incredible to see the culmination of their work in this final half ice game. Players of the game were Blair and Sawyer. Blair was compared to hockey's legendary Bobby Orr by Coach after the game and Sawyer played his most incredible game all season. The passing, the scoring, the cheering and the undeniable follow through on coaching was beautiful to see. Well done Blair and Sawyer, your team is proud of you!
