Players of the Game: The Hespeler Classic
Last weekend the Hespeler Shamrocks kicked off their first tournament of the year at home with the Hespeler Classic. The tournament saw the Shamrocks play some of their best full-team hockey of the weekend, even if the scoreboard didn't always show it. We finished with an 0-3 record but more than that strong foundations were laid for the future. Players of Game 1 was Nathan Filipchuck for his whatever it takes attitude and filling in on the blue line. Player of Game 2 was Grant Dahmer for his two-way play. Player of Game 3 was Oliver Wall with supportive play and good rebound attempts. Leo Robbins was the tournament MVP for his maturity and team focused approach to play. Well done Shamrocks.
