On Wednesday March 4th the Shamrocks headed to the Woodstock Arena to play their final playoff match against the Woodstock Jr Navy Vets. The game ended in a 2-2 tie after the Shamrocks put teamwork first and spent the final 1:34 seconds with a pulled goalie and 6 teammates working together to eventually tie the game. It was electric. The player of the game was Ibrahim who netted a shutout during his half of the game. Ibrahim turned away 7 shots for the Jr Navy Vets. Well done Ibrahim, your team is proud of you. 

On Monday March 2nd the Shamrocks headed to Woolwich Arena for their final matchup with the Wildcats in their playoff pool. The Game was ultimately lost by a score of 5-1. Player of the Game was Gavin. Gavin has grown so much as a player this season. He has become a strong offensive player who consistently tries to create offensive opportunities for his line mates. He works the boards and corners well, but his true super power is the home office he has set up in front of the net. He takes an absolute beating from the Woolwich defence but stands his ground and looks for rebounds every shift. ...

On Saturday the 21st of February the Shamrocks hosted the Woolwich Wildcats back at the Hespeler Arena after a Family Day loss in St Jacobs. The Shamrocks were bested yet again by the Wildcats, but there were signs of growth and adapting to a formidable opponent. One of the difference makers was the leadership brought by our Captain Dexter. Dexter, never one to shy away from a strong opponent or a difficult task kept pushing until the last seconds, even scoring an unrecorded 4th goal with less than 5 seconds on the clock. On Friday Day the Shamrocks spent the day with their hockey family on a road trip to Woolwich to face the Wildcats. While the Shamrocks popped out to an early victory the Wildcats came back with 5 unanswered goals. Player of the game was Scott. Scott really levelled up his game in Woolwich. He was interrupting the passing lanes and had good board battles. Way to go Scott on stepping up in these critical games. Your team is proud of you!

On Valentine's Day the Shamrocks faced off against the Woodstock Jr Navy Vets for the second time in their series. The road game started off with a different pace than the first matchup with Woodstock, and was a very defensive effort on both sides. Woodstock eventually took the lead. Shamrocks pulled their goalie with 3 minutes to go hoping to square up the score but were bested by an empty net goal. Player of the Game was Derek ! Derek was the opening goaltender of the match and netted a shutout for himself through great game play. He faced 14 shots in the first half of the game. Well done ...
