Rocks Drop Two Tough Decisions in Tri-County Playoffs
The Hespeler Major Atom A Shamrocks posted back-to-back losses in two games that could have easily gone their way.

The Rocks lost 3-2 to the Burlington Eagles on Saturday in Hespeler and also fell 2-1 to Guelph on Tuesday night. Both games went to overtime.

The Burlington game was once again an evenly-matched affair featuring two quality teams looking to finish their season the right way.
The boys gave it everything they had but in the end it was the Eagles scoring the winner midway through the sudden-death period.

A stong game played by defenseman Justyn Sillanpaa-Knox who made some exceptional plays to keep the puck in the Burlington zone throughout the game.

Last night the Rocks travelled to Guelph and played the Jr. Storm. Despite clearly outplaying and out-shooting the Storm, it wasn't until midway through the third period that Hespeler finally took a 1-0 lead.
That lead was short-lived however when Guelph benefitted from a very lucky bounce to tie it at 1.

The Rocks continued to take the play to Guelph but continued to stymied by a hot Guelph goaltender and in the end, it was a mad scramble that produced the game winner.

Give credit to an abundance of players including the hard forechecking duo of Tate Garside and Ben Wilson who kept pressuring the Jr Storm defence every time they stepped on the ice.

Excellent work boys!!!

The Rocks next game is Friday February 22nd in Caledon at 630pm.
