What a Game!
For those who couldn't make the game, you missed a good one!!!

Our Rocks were on their game:
      -Playing hard to the puck
      -Fore and Back checking
-Passing ... oh, the passing was great!  Still a couple passes not looking up but since the Rocks were on their game with excellent fore/back checking they were able to shut down any plays that resulted from the turn overs.
-TEAM WORK ... we played as a team ... we won as a TEAM!

The first period found both teams playing a good game of hockey.

The second period started off as the first ended with both teams looking for that first goal.  With the Wildcats in the box the Shamrocks went on the power play.  Using patience and executing solid passing Taylor D. scored the opening goal of the game putting our Shamrocks up 1-0.  The second period also found Hespeler on the penalty kill but once again our penalty kill was flawless and Logan M. keeping all shots under control the second period ended 1-0 Shamrocks.

The Wildcats came out strong in the 3rd looking for the equalizing goal but like the second period they found themselves in the box and once again our power play was able to take advantage, keeping the puck under control Colby L. was able to fire one in putting the Shamrocks up 2-0.  In an attempt to get back in the game Woolwich pulled their goalie with the face off in the the Hespeler Zone.  Our Rocks stayed composed under the added pressure, cleared the puck, and Patrick D. was able to score the empty netter.  With a minute and a half left in play our Shamrocks played smart looking for the passes to clear the zone ending the game 3-0 and Logan M. with the much deserved shut out!

What a different team from Friday night!  Great game Shamrocks.  Tonight's hockey is the type of hockey we need to play in our remaining play down games.  A team that controls and forces the play and plays as a TEAM!  Lots of play down hockey left, keep up this hockey and cool heads, Orangeville and New Hamburg will have their hands full!

GO ROCKS GO!!!!
