PENALTY FREE in Orangeville!!!!
Not only were our Rocks able to bring home the win they were able to bring it home PENALTY FREE!!!
Congrats Rocks you have made your coaches and families so proud with your play and teamwork!
The game started off with the Patrick D. opening up the scoring for the Shamrocks during the first few seconds of the period. Andrew C. added another one to the score board with a goal of his own making the score 2-0 Rocks. The Flyers were able to get one of their own before the end of the first taking advantage of a turnover ending the first 2-1.
The second period found our Rocks in good form and with Orangeville in the box Colby L. was able to take advantage and put the Shamrocks up 3-1 with just seconds left in the period.
The third period found the Shamrocks on the power play again. Unfortunately they were unable to capitalize on the extra man advantage but once back at full strength Zach R. shot one past the Flyer netminder. Tristan K. was in game form and stopped all that Orangeville had to offer through the last two periods bringing the final score 4-1 Shamrocks.
What an awesome PENALTY FREE game Shamrocks!!! Great teamwork ... passing ... and proof that putting the shots on net may not end in the back of the net BUT can result in a rebound that leads to a goal! Keep the shots coming, add in the disciplined play and our next game against New Hamburg will bring us home a win!
