Coming out with the WIN!!!
Facing the Orangeville Flyers the Shamrocks knew they had to bring home the win!
The first period found the Shamrocks chasing down the puck and solid passing that allowed Taylor D. to get the game opener against the Flyers. Orangeville was able to even up the score on a power play goal at the end of the first, evening up the score 1-1 going into the second.
The second period found both teams taking rests in the penalty boxes. Neither team was able to take advantage of the extra man at the beginning of the period but Colby L. scored the second goal for the Rocks at full strength. At the end of the second period the Shamrocks were on a five on three advantage and Colby L. was able to score his second of the night bringing the score 3-1 Rocks.
The third period Tristan K. didn't allow Orangeville to get any closer on the score board with a great game in net. The third period ended with Hespeler killing off a five on three in the last two minutes in play but allowed Orangeville no room for puck movement ending the game 3-1 Shamrocks.
Coach Craig asks that everyone keep a close eye on emails and the website for game updates! Once you receive the email if you can reply back so that he knows everyone received it and is aware of the game that would be greatly appreciated!
