U8 LL, LL (Hespeler Minor Hockey Association)

On Sunday March 23rd the Shamrocks headed out for their final 8AM practice at Karl Homuth on a Sunday this season. This practice was designed to emphasise the love of the game as they played hockey in it's purest form. They learned how to throw their sticks in a pile for a random draw for a fun year end scrimmage against their teammates. There were passes, goals and giggles as the players got to square off and play against their teammates. Well done u8 ! It's been a fantastic ride. The final game of our 2024-205 regular season was on Saturday March 22, as we travelled to Embro for an early morning game against the Edge. Our Shamrocks played hard against a very strong team and saw growth in our development and skills compared to the last time we played this team. Our player of the game was Blake, who was a workhorse out on the ice. Congrats Blake your team is proud of you!

On Sunday March 16th our Shamrocks hosted the Titans for the second time in as many days are part of a mini-series.  Our players really stepped up their performance and had an excellent game against a very strong Titans team. Teamwork and skating hard were emphasised this game.  Players of the game were Riggins and Dominic! Congrats to you bot! your team is proud of you!

While the majority of the teams at HMHA are in playoff series, our u8 team had a miniseries of it's own this weekend with back-to-back matches against the Tavistock Titans! The games were close battles, with both Tavistock and Hespeler making excellent plays and passes all game. Players of the game were Emily and Nicky. Both these players brought energy and determination to the rink with them today! Congrats Emily and Nicky! Your team is proud of you!
