Shamrocks Take Care of Business Against Jr Storm!
The Hespeler Major Atom A Shamrocks did what they needed to do in defeating the Guelph Jr Storm on Wednesday night in Hespeler.

The Rocks got off to a fast start scoring the first 6 goals of the game before Guelph tried to mount a late comeback.
As the score mounted, Coach Terry Ahmet once again juggled the lines and positions in order to expose the boys to different linemates and a different way to see the game.

This may or may not have helped let Guelph back into the game but regardless, getting the Rocks to play different positions; and with different players; helps develop all-around skills that will only benefit the team as the playoffs approach.

A fantastic game was put forth by long-time Shamrock Jacob Kirkwood. Kirkwood displayed a wide variety of offensive moves and was a force in all three periods.
Kirkwood combined with second-year forward Graem Costigan to create havoc for the Jr. Storm all night long. Costigan has a knack for stripping the puck from an unexpecting opponent while never losing speed himself. It may sound simple but it is a technique that takes a lot of skill and very few players can do it as effectively as Costigan.

Great job boys!!!!

And stay tuned for the next edition of Hespeler Major Atom A News which will feature a full interview with centre Brayden Moore.
Moore will give his thoughts on the Major Atom A season so far; what the team needs to do to be successful in the playoffs; and in a shocker, will tell us who is his favourite coach!!!! (ok, you don't have to answer the last one Brayden....)

The Rocks next game is this Saturday December 1st at 2:15pm vs. Burlington.
