Bantam AE, 2015-2016, Rep B (Hespeler Minor Hockey Association)

Well what a season!  Congratulations to all the boys on the Bantam AE Shamrock team.  Watching you develop over the season has been amazing! Learning positioning, plays, how to take and give a check, and how to play as a team.  All of the updates written outlined the progress and pride I felt watching this group of boys play.

Sounds like I missed a great game in Guelph.  But from all the messages, updates and replays I have received it was evident our Shamrocks found their groove once again!! While the outcome of the game wasn't in our favour the fact the Bantam AE's were able to dig deep and leave it all on the ice once again, shows the quality of boys that make up this team. 

Our Shamrocks came out strong in the first period but were unable to capitalize on any of the opportunities created.  The second and third period found Hespeler falling into some past habits losing the game 4-0 to the Centre Wellington Fusion.

Our Shamrocks started off The Tri-County playoffs on a winning note with a 1-0 win over the Milton Winterhawks.  In an edge of our seat game the Rocks battled hard for the puck, looked for the passes, and were rewarded with the two points.

Perfect way to end the OMHA play downs with a WIN!!!  Our Rocks played to a 3-2 Victory over the New Hamburg Huskies at home.  So close to moving on in the OMHA play downs finishing in third place, just one point shy of second.  While moving out of the bottom spot may have been shocking and frustrating to other teams in the league, to the supporters of the Bantam AE team it’s no surprise.  Watching the amount of hard work and dedication these boys and coaches have put into this team the outcome of this series is exactly what they deserve.
