What a Game!!
Thank you Shamrocks for such a well played game from start to finish.  While the score wasn't in our favour the play displayed tonight has surpassed in my opinion any game played to date.

Facing off against the second place Centre Wellington Fusion the Shamrocks came out ready for a game.

The first period I think the Fusion may have underestimated the hard work our Rocks have put into their development and didn't expect the Shamrock team that showed up to play.  Our Rocks were able to cycle the puck to clear our zone and the boys had some amazing shots on net.  Unable to capitalize on the power play the Rocks then found themselves in the "time out box" where with the extra man open beside the net the Fusion fired one in, ending the first 1-0 Centre Wellington.

Our Rocks didn't give up an inch of the ice battling hard to get back the goal but at times with too much enthusiasm and calls not seen by the Shamrock cheering squad the Rocks were back in the box. The team stepped up and killed all the penalties with Owen C. solid between the pipes shutting down the Fusion hopes of moving ahead during man advantage.

The third period the wave of penalties turned to the Hespeler advantage.  On the power play Brody H. found the back of the Fusion net with assists from Ryan M. and Carter T. making the play happen, bringing the game even at 1-1.  Then with one of those plays that happens to all players at one point - a turnover in our zone lead to a short handed goal for Centre Wellington.  Bringing the score 2-1 with less than 1/2 a period left to play.  In other games, in the same situation our Rocks at times have shut down and lost their spark.  Tonight's game though this was not the case.  The Shamrocks kept fighting and were just centimeters away from tying up the game on more than one occasion.  Pulling the goalie adding an extra man, all stops were pulled out BUT the game ended 2-1 Fusion.

But what an exciting game!!  The hard work from start to finish from all players was fabulous to see - it is what teamwork is all about!!!

Once again so proud of your hard work and dedication

GO ROCKS GO!!!!

Tigercat
Tigercat specializes in the design and manufacturing of premium quality forestry equipment and specialized off-road industrial equipment. Tigercat forestry systems are designed to provide lowest cost per tonne harvesting solutions. Tigercat began in 1992 when a small group of professionals with extensive experience in all facets of the logging equipment industry teamed up with the Cambridge, Ontario based fabrication company, MacDonald Steel. At the time, MacDonald Steel was engaged in the fabrication of components for many well-known mobile equipment manufacturers. However, owner and CEO Ken MacDonald envisioned the creation of a new company that would build upon MacDonald Steel’s fabricating expertise, a company that would design and manufacture purpose-built forestry equipment. With headquarters in Brantford, Ontario, Tigercat operates from eight southern Ontario locations. These facilities house the design and production teams for all Tigercat products as well as steel fabrication, administration, customer service and parts distribution.
