Written by Mike Costigan --> Team Reporter If it wasn’t the humbling defeat that the Shamrock’s suffered Wednesday night in Elora at the hands of the Center Wellington Fusion, then it had to be the war paint on the boys faces that was the motivation behind an awesome team effort that kept their Tri County playoff hopes alive.

By Mike Costigan --> Team Reporter Quick starts are becoming a pattern for the Shamrock’s of late.  For the second game in a row, Hespeler opened the scoring within the first two minutes of their Sunday afternoon visit to Market Arena in Dundas and never looked back.  The Rock’s have had a tough time winning in Dundas this season, so the quick opening goal was a good sign of things to change. 

By Mike Costigan ---> Team Reporter The Shamrocks kicked off their playoff schedule with a 5-1 victory over the visiting Guelph Storm.  Right from the opening faceoff, the Shamrocks took the play to Guelph and within 3 minutes, opened the scoring on a great shot from the blue line.  

Submitted by Mike Costigan - Team Reporter As fate would have it the Minor Atom Shamrocks were not to be denied in their pursuit of winning their home tournament… the 45th Annual Hespeler Olympic Hockey Tournament!  Playing their best hockey of late, the Shamrocks were looking to continue their winning ways in the annual community event.  The challenge in front of them would be to out play solid teams that included the Brampton Battalion, Owen Sound Attack, and cross town rival, Cambridge Hawks.   

By Mike Costigan --> Team Reporter The Shamrocks closed out their season series with the Georgetown Raiders with a decisive 6-0 victory at Memorial Arena on Tuesday.  In fact this is the third time in as many games that Hespeler has handed the Raiders a defeat and in doing so have solidified their fourth place position in the Smith Division Standings.
