Shamrock’s snap losing streak with gritty effort!
Anyone watching the last four games that the Shamrock’s played would agree that they deserved a better fate in two of them.  However the nature of the game requires consistent effort for 3 periods in order to achieve a positive end result!  Slow starts and lapses in effort have been the nemesis of late for the Shamrock’s.

After a 7-1 trouncing from the Burlington Eagles yesterday at Hespeler arena, the coaching staff challenged the team to respond in their second home game in as many nights against the Caledon Hawks. From the opening face off the “rocks” had jump that hadn’t been seen in some time. Shift after shift, Hespeler had pressure on the Hawks creating numerous scoring chances, but continued to be denied on the score sheet. To the boy’s credit, they did not get frustrated, even after Caledon scored late in the first to take a 1-0. The solid effort continued in the second when finally Hespeler was rewarded with a goal midway through the second period. Solid goaltending on both sides kept the game tied through the remainder of the second and most of the third period. With two minutes remaining, the Shamrocks scored one of those “dirty” goals that come from hard work, earning a fate they desperately deserved. A solid team effort boys.....we look for more of the same tomorrow in Georgetown!
